Tucker University - Freshman Year - Zoom Edition First and Third Tuesdays (mostly) Beginning February 5th 11am-2pm
This is an exciting series of 13 classes to build techniques for piecing familiar blocks and designing your own quilts. You will learn how to use each of the following Tucker Tools:
Tucker Trimmer Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star
V Block Corner Pop
Wing Clipper Split Rects
Square Squared Diamond Rects
Corner Beam Large Square Squared
You will learn how to piece a wide variety of blocks with the help of Design Sheets (included in class fee)
Classes will be twice a month starting in February and run 3-4 hours each. By the end of July you will finish the Freshman Year!! Classes will be held on the First and Third Tuesdays (with the exception of April 4/5 and 19, and May 5/3 and 17), 11am - 2pm
Teacher: Irene Henion - Studio 180 Certified Instructor
Skill Level: Confident Beginner. Must know how to use a sewing machine.
Required Supplies: (all supplies are available for purchase at Town and Country Quilt Shop)
-Each of the tools listed above; these may be purchased as a bundle ahead of time, or as they are needed.
-If you purchase the entire year of classes (Deadline is January 22), you will receive a coupon code to save 15% on the entire kit.
-Technique Sheet(s)($7.50) per class, available to purchase on the day of the class. Most classes will have one, some will require more.
- ONE Design Sheet (included in class fee) per class, available on the day of the class.
- An assortment of scrap fabric. This is a technique/skill building class, bring some scraps that you don't love.
Coordinating or neutral thread
General Sewing Supplies such as rotary cutter, scissors, pins, seam ripper
Items needed for class will be billed and shipped to you in advance.
