Welcome Spring! We're So Glad To See You! See What's Blooming At Town And Country Quilt Shop!

Happy Spring Friends!

The flowers are bursting from the ground, and Town and Country Quilt Shop has some great new fabrics and inspiration for “fresh as a daisy” sewing projects!

Have you been searching for the perfect fabric collection to use for your spring and summer table toppers, or other home decor projects? We’ve got two new lines from Northcott that might fit the bill! Lavendar market is super fresh, and would be a great option for a tote, or tablerunner. I’m a fan of the barn quilts featured in the Homegrown Happiness line. I could see these fabrics in a 3 yard quilt pattern, or sewn projects for a baby’s room!

nine images of different fabrics, some with lavendar bouquets, others with farm scenes, animals and barnwood

Here’s a sneak peek at one of our sweet spring lines. This is a portion of the softbook panel, and Brenda has made up an ADORABLE quilt with these sweet baby animals

An opportunity to help…

Over the past 7 weeks, we’ve been a witness to horrific events happening across the globe in Ukraine. If you’re like me, it tears at your heartstrings and makes you wonder, ‘what could I do to help?’ Well, there is something we can do! Pat Sloan, quilt pattern and fabric designer, has given us an opportunity to raise awareness and give support to other quilting sisters in that region. She has designed a block, and for a minimal donation, you can have the pattern to make it. I’ll add the link to her post in the button below.

Here at Town and Country, we’re collecting the blocks (don’t worry, you can have yours back), and posting them in our windows in an effort to both show support, and raise awareness of the opportunity to help. We’d love to hang yours in the window too!

Wouldn’t it be great if we could fill all the windows with these blocks! Let’s see if we can do that by the end of April!!! If you’d like to help, here’s what you need to do:

1. Go to Pat’s post and donate at least $10 to the special relief fund she has set up.

2. Download and print the pattern (feel free to reach out if you need help with that)

3. Make the block, and bring it to the shop.

4. We’ll write your name on it, and hang it in the window. All blocks will be returned during the first week in May. LET’S FILL UP THOSE WINDOWS!!!

Tucker University:

The Tucker University Class has been going great! Did you know that you don’t have to sign up for ALL the classes, you can just jump in when you see a technique you’d like to learn. The next class will be focusing on how to make the perfect Lemoyne Star block. You won’t want to miss it!

We also offer Zoom classes for Tucker University

Looking ahead…

I feel like the girls and I have been talking about this event for YEARS, and haven’t had a chance to do it until now! We’re so excited to let you know about our (hopefully first annual) Pajama-palooza event!! Plan to grab your coffee and head out early to save big on fabric and other supplies to replenish what you’ve used up over this long winter!

In order to take advantage of the sale, you MUST be dressed in pajamas! You’ll get a ticket at the door based on the time you entered, and you can shop until your heart’s content. When you check out, simply present your ticket and we’ll apply your discount at the register. Some exclusions apply. (class registrations, or longarm services will still be full price)

For those of you wondering about classes, we’re currently working out a schedule for the summer, stay tuned….
